The Province - Chapter 2 - Cosmic

Walking out of Ragni the sun began to set, and Kira's eyes slightly glossed over and stars shone in them. She could feel it, and she had to get away from her friends, she didn't know how it would react to this setting, she had never been anywhere like this before. Suddenly she tore away from the group and began jumping up the nearby mountain.
"Kira?" Mini called. "The fuck you going?"
She didn't respond.
"Talia come with me, I'll need help reaching her up there. You can talk to trees and the like, could you ask for their aid getting us up to Kira?" Mini turned to the elf.
"Never thought you'd ask me to help you Mini. But I'd love to!" Talia smiled down at the dwarf, who's eyes lit up.
"Thanks elfy!" She chuckled.
"Faggot." Talia grumbled, but a sense of happiness in her voice. She wasn't angry.
She turned to a nearby tree and asked it some questions and nodded.
"He can help us, he'll raise his roots into a staircase even YOU can climb Mini." Talia turned to the Technomages.
"What do I do?" Liam questioned.
"Just do whatever!" Talia called, running up the staircase.
"Yeah, that!" Mini laughed, following the elf.

She had to get away from them, it could kill them if not contained somewhere away from them, it could blind or deafen them, or even worse, bring theirs out. Kira could feel her skin turning a dark gray, but then getting a tinge of purples and blues, like a nebula, then her skin slowly began to glitter with tiny stars. Her hair flowed out behind her, her purple bandana falling out and into her pockets. Her jacket was stripped of its sleeves and her growing arms tore their way through, only the cuffs were left at her wrists as claws came from her once delicate fingers. Her eyes glossed over completely and a star shone brightly in each one, Stars now dotted her hair and horns grew just under her hairline and a small Moon and star forming from her hair and hovering above it, her boots and shorts were unaffected, but any showing skin turned to a nebula of stars. Then she nearly lost control before a scream of her name stopped the Cosmicaniac taking control of her, it was Mini, and she was hurt.

They were running up the woody stairs towards Kira, but.. Something seemed off about her. Suddenly, as if from now where a small, flaming arrow pierced Mini's skin, her entire body erupting into crimson flames, the elf quickly grabbed her and pulled her form the stairs before she could set them alight, touching the roots of the tree, she said
"Sorry, friend."
Turning back to the burning dwarf she could see her clutching her head in pain. Her eyes were burning red, and the white in her eyes had turned a soft yellow. From under her mask it looked like an infection tore her human skin away, replacing it with that which looked like a blaze, but, blazes were from the nether... Mini was in a great deal of pain. She screamed at the top of her metallic lungs for one person she KNEW could help her.
"KIRAAAA!!!"
Kira came bounding down the hill toward her, but her skin was gray, and nebulaic. But Mini didn't care why. She knew that Kira held magics even she didn't know she was capable of casting, this was the night's daughter.
